Pope Lanes bowling center is one of the busiest spots on Pope Air Force Base.  The center features 20 lanes and entertainment for the entire family plus intramural and league bowling.  Bowling is a fun sport that you can participate in as an individual, family, or group.   The bowling center has automatic scorers, and gutter bumpers to help insure that younger bowlers knock down pins and gain confidence.  

F or the serious bowler visit our Pro Shop. The pro shop is IBPSIA-certified (International Bowling Pro Shop & Instructor Association) and carries an assortment of bowling balls, bags, shoes and other items to enhance your game.  Our expert ball-driller can custom-fit your new ball so it will fit like a glove.    We also provide free drilling with the purchase of a new bowling ball.

C oaching is available for all skill levels and all ages by a certified coach from USBC ( United States Bowling Congress) as a silver level coach and Dick Ritgers certified level I coach. Classes can be arranged for an individual or a group.

W e offer a wide variety of bowling leagues. League bowling is a great way to meet new people and socialize in a fun atmosphere. Leagues are offered in the summer and winter for adults as well as youths. Some of the leagues offered include: Mixed League, Ladies League, Recreation Leagues and Y.A.B.A.  Don’t have the time to commit to an entire season of bowling?  Ask our staff about signing up to be a substitute bowler.

Pope Lanes hosts several tournaments throughout the year, mostly on weekends.   9-Pin No Tap Tournaments are held monthly.   The tournament fee is $15 per person.  There are men’s and women’s divisions and 1-in-5 bowlers win cash. Bowlers must be over 18 and not a Y.A.B.A. bowler.  Pre-registration is required, sign up at the Bowling Center Front Desk. E very Friday night is Cosmic bowling, if you have not had a Cosmic bowling experience; you are in for a treat. Cosmic Bowling bowling, is glow-in-the-dark with Disco style lights, provides a great time and is the latest craze today.   We’ll turn off the lights, turn up the music and dazzle you with an awesome light show.    Cosmic Bowling is black lights, bowling pins that glow in the dark, rope lighting along the lanes, and strobe lights flashing in time to heart-pounding music and more fun than anything you have ever seen!   Cosmic Bowling is also available for private groups and squadron fun days.

P ope Lanes is a great place to have your child's next birthday party.   We currently offer an awesome party plan, providing the best value for your party needs. Pope Lanes offer fully automatic scoring and bumper lanes so bowling is fun and easy!

B umper Bowling is a great activity for beginner bowlers, children up to ages 12, and handicapped people.   Ball walls are placed in the gutters to prevent balls from falling in.
