The Pope AFB Youth Center is the place to go for fun!  Kids aged 9 to 18 are eligible to be members, younger kids are welcome at special events geared for their interests and abilities.

The Youth Center has a gymnasium, playground, classrooms, teen room, preteen room, a snack bar and an outdoor pavilion area.  Classes include dance and karate, and clubs include the Teen Keystone Club and the Preteen Torch Club.  Both clubs develop leadership while having fun.  The Keystone Club holds fund-raising events, and turns their profits into events like a weekend trip to Busch Gardens in Virginia

The Youth Center offers several different programs:  a Sports Program, a School Age Program and a Social Recreation Program. 

Youth Sports teaches leadership, teamwork, skills improvement, and sportmanship while having fun learning the various aspects of soccer, flag football, baseball, cheerleading and basketball.  All coaches are specially trained and certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches' Association.

The School Age Program is accredited through the National Afterschool Association, and has earned all 5 Stars through the North Carolina licensing agency.  This developmental program offers care before and after school, and during school holidays.  Children aged 5 - 12 learn responsibility through accountability for themselves and pet-caretaking.  They can join clubs, play games, explore science, complete homework, experiment in art and crafts, garden, use computers and musical instruments, read and make friends.

The Youth Programs' Social Recreation Program includes health and fitness activities, learning about how to make smart choices, cooking, leadership, citizenship and just plain fun.  Trained staff are on hand to facilitate exciting programs like lock-ins, field trips, carnivals and fun days.

The Youth Programs participates in special events like:  Family/Teen Talent Competition, Photography Exhibition, Fine Arts Exhibition, Youth of the Year, Missoula Children's Theatre, Specialty Camps and more!  The Pope AFB Youth Center is a great place to learn, to grow, and to have fun!
